Lowkey W earned the bye
Lowkey W's group stage was about as clean as it gets. Five series, five wins, and four of the five as 2-0 sweeps, ten maps won, one lost. That record earns them a direct seat in the Winners Final, where they'll wait for the winner of the upper bracket opener. It's a significant structural advantage in double elimination: Lowkey W enter the bracket already one win away from the Grand Final while every other team has to survive at least one extra round to get there.
The upper bracket opener - Abrahams squares off with Leviathan again
The first match of bracket play pits Abrahams against Leviathan in a best-of-three. Abrahams finished second in groups at 4-1 in series, with their only loss coming against Lowkey W, and even that was a competitive 1-2. They also own a head-to-head 2-0 sweep over Leviathan from group play, which gives them a psychological edge heading into the match.
Leviathan finished 3-2 and had a more uneven group stage. They handled Fearless Furies, Indomitable, and Floormen without dropping a series, but went 0-2 against the top two teams. The winner of this match gets a shot at Lowkey W in the Winners Final. The loser drops to the lower bracket, where one more loss ends their tournament.
Fearless Furies from the lower side
Fearless Furies start in the lower bracket after a 2-3 group stage. Their two wins came against Floormen and Indomitable, the two teams that didn't qualify, while they were swept 0-2 by each of the three teams above them. It's a tough starting position, they'll be looking to steal a map or two and make it interesting on whoever the loser is between Abrahams and Leviathan in the second game.
